With these drawings, I wanted to express sorrow and beauty. The sorrow of the loss of a young life, the beauty of her memory.
The original paintings of this limited edition collection of prints were made as part of a series of postcards created for a fundraising event to support research into Children's Leukemia. Ruby, a beautiful inspiring young girl in my community, environmental activist and art lover, died of leukaemia at age 18.
The series, named after Ruby, consists of 4 ink drawings depicting forests and trees that I'm offering now in a limited edition of prints size A4, all available in this shop.
30% of the proceeds from the series will go to support Ruby's fund with CCLG. (Children's Cancer and Leukemia Group)
Ruby's motto was 'Live kindly, live loudly' which is the name of the Instagram account where you can find out more about Ruby and her inspiring legacy (@livekindlyliveloudly).
